Located in Greenville, Northwest Chargers Hockey is a team in the Southern Professional Hockey League. The team plays home games at the historic Sports Arena, also home to the historic Northland Irvinberg Flames. Since its founding in 1985, the team has garnered many fans and received much national recognition. The hockey club is one of the few professional teams in the MLHL that is not based in a specific city. The team plays all its home games at the historic Sports Arena. The arena was named by the NHL’s North Stars and later became the venue for the 1996 Winter Olympics.

Northwest Chargers goalie Eric Tulsky has been named to the NHL’s All-Star Game twice and is a two-time winner of the award. He has played on the offensive and defensive pair throughout the season. In his professional career, he has played for four different franchises and is the leading point scorer with 55 points (19g) in 50 games. The team’s high-energy style of play and the chemistry between players have made Northwest Chargers one of the premier teams in the league and one of the most promising young teams in the American Hockey League. The team is currently third in the WHL with a record of 11-5-3.
