Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson is being evaluated medically after suffering a frightening neck injury late in the second quarter of Monday’s Bills-Titans game.

The Bills announced Jackson has been taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

“He will be getting a CT scan and an x-ray. Jackson has full movement in extremities,” the team said in a tweet.

Jackson was injured during a helmet-to-helmet collision with teammate Tremaine Edmunds. His head and neck bent back violently.

The Bills’ medical staff rushed to his aid, and an ambulance was quickly hailed. Players took a knee in prayer as Jackson received care.

The obvious concern is paralysis or another significant spinal injury. Reporters say they spotted movement in Jackson while he was on the field.

Jackson was in the process of tackling Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks when Edmunds flew over and collided directly with Jackson’s head, snapping it back. Reporters say that Jackson was moving his arms and legs before the trainer got to him.

The Bills tweeted the following as he was being taken off the field: “We’re all with you, @Djack11_.”

Earlier in the game, Titans offensive lineman Taylor Lewan suffered a knee injury and left the field in a medical cart.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
