Cleveland will have the following teams on their home schedule for the 2022 season: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Los Angeles Chargers.

The Browns will travel to play the following away schedule for the 2022 season: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and Washington Commanders.

The Browns’ strength of schedule is one of the easiest in the league

Coming off a poor year last season, the Browns’ schedule has been somewhat kind to them. The overall strength of schedule based on projected win totals for the Browns in 2022 ranks as the sixth easiest in the league thanks to games against the Jets, Falcons, Panthers, and Texans.

However, things are set to be reasonably tough for the Browns at home this season. Their home schedule ties for the seventh hardest in the league and the second hardest in their division. Cleveland will host the Buccaneers and Chargers alongside their divisional matchups with the Ravens and Bengals.

Meanwhile, Cleveland’s road schedule ranks as the third easiest in the entire league and the easiest in the AFC. With only their trip to the Bills seeing them travel to a team projected to win 10 or more games, the Browns will be hoping to capitalize on that road schedule to compete within the division and the conference.

The Browns come out on the right side of an intriguing split for the AFC North. The success of the Bengals and Steelers in finishing first and second in the division last year has seen them have two of the toughest schedules in the league. Meanwhile, the Browns and Ravens’ schedules rank among the 10 easiest in the league in 2022.

When does the 2022 NFL season begin?

The 2022 NFL season will begin on Thursday, Sept. 8. The NFL has stuck to tradition and the Los Angeles Rams will host the first game. The majority of the rest of the NFL gets underway on Sunday, Sept. 11.
